Feng Shui: Home as Sacred Space

Feng Shui: Home as Sacred Space

Guided by Kyle Freeman // $50 // Book here.

Salon-style gathering with Feng Shui Consultant Kyle Freeman

Feng Shui refers to the Chinese philosophical study of our relationship to our environment both man-made and natural. We are all, consciously or not, influenced by the environments we spend time in and by deepening our relationship to them we can make changes that expand and shift our internal landscape. (Read more Here)

Join Kyle to discuss how to build a nourishing relationship with your home. This is neither a formal feng shui class nor a full on consultation but an intimate gathering where you have the opportunity to share how you feel about your home/what’s going on in your space and collect insight on ways to shift or enhance your connection to your home and your Self from a feng shui perspective.

All participants will be asked (not required!) to sketch a floor plan of their home to bring to the workshop. Kyle will use these as working examples to discuss feng shui principles and offer personalized instruction.

"To live in a sacred space is to live in a symbolic environment where spiritual life is possible, where everything around you speaks of the exaltation of the spirit. This is a place where you can simply
experience and bring forth what you are and what you might be. This is the place of creative incubation. At first you might find that nothing happens here. But if you have a sacred place and use it, something
will eventually happen. Your sacred space is where you find yourself again and again."

- Joseph Campbell

Kyle Freeman is an international Katonah Yoga instructor, Feng Shui consultant, and Intuitive counselor based in New York City. She has over fifteen years of experience refining her intuitive skills and developing an in-depth understanding of both the built environment and the individual's physical and psychological relationship to their body and their environment. She has studied Classical, BTB, and Form school feng shui in NYC, London and China and practices a combination of all three.

Breathwork for Shadow

Guided by Lauren Mooney // $40 // Book here.

For some of us Halloween serves as a classic time of year to embrace our imaginative, and darker sides. Together in a safe healing container, let’s acknowledge all parts of ourselves. We will use the breathto unlock major magic, and accept ourselves as whole beings - the light and the dark making us whole.

What is Breathwork?

The “active” part of breathwork is a two part breath, followed by an exhale, all happening through the mouth. While lying down with your eyes closed, you’ll be guided through the experience with a curated playlist, essential oils, and grounding touch. After actively breathing, you’ll get to lay in a resting state that allows for processing and integration.

About Lauren

I am a Reiki Master, Certified Holistic Health Coach, Breathwork Practitioner and Cannabis Advocate. And my passion is for helping people access freedom and peace in the purity of the present moment.

I believe we are all spiritual beings with souls and energy, even if we don’t feel connected to it all the time. As hectic as life can be (especially in NYC), each individual has the power to take a step back and reevaluate whenever, and however they choose. I want people to know they are loved, supported, and held. We are in this thing called life together.

Dance Cleanse & Soul Shake for the Autumn Equinox

Dance Cleanse & Soul Shake for the Autumn Equinox

Guided by Liz Westendorf and Clare Elizabeth // $33 // Book here.

This gathering will be uniquely crafted and inspired by the Autumnal Equinox. Celebrating and reflecting on the Summer, then releasing it to literally move into the coming season. Our intention will reflect the nature of an equinox, light and dark, movement, and balance.

In this Embodiment Dance Ritual, we will partake in ceremonies for releasing, transitioning, and intention setting in concert with the rhythms of nature and those of our bodies

With gentle facilitation from movement facilitators Liz Westendorf and Clare Elizabeth, we will then shake, shout, and dance it out through freeform movement in a conscious container.

Sound will guide our journey, taking us deeper into the experience. Musical curator Greg Kavna will mix live, playing specific musical arcs that are designed to pique your, body & soul.

While there is an excitement for the crisp and fresh, this transition can be jarring on our bodies; we also can feel a sense of loss for the sun, and a fear of the winter -- perfect time to come together and dance with it all.

Open to all ages, sizes, physicalities and levels of dance or movement experience. All you need is a body and an open mind!

———

Liz Westendorf is a somatic life coach, embodiment guide, shamanic practitioner and consultant. Balancing wit and light-heartedness with reverence and powerful presence, her passion is empowering visionaries to cultivate full-bodied expression, emotional resilience and creative liberation in their body of work and body of being. She offers a grounded, integrative approach that catalyzes individuals to breakthrough static patterns, shift stuck emotions and mindsets and to engage with their power and pleasure.
